Absolutely love this store! I always deal with Sam (the manager). He's the best! Always helpful and extremely polite and professional!!! I specifically shop here because of Sam. Thanks for all your hard work Sam!!!!☺
This place is great! The staff is friendly. Most of the workers there are very educated and happy. The establishment is clean. I come here often. Will continue to come. I've used the grooming here too and that is great!

I had a fish tank for over a year with several very expensive species. I went to this Petco and purchased one fish to add to my collection. And within a week every fish in my tank was dead. When I asked for an opinion as to why they believed this happened. I was treated very unkindly and with no respect. I do however highly recommend the Petco in Pottstown. The staff works much harder at maintaining healthy fish and I have yet to had a problem with any of the animals I have purchased from there.
Terrible: we've taken our wheelchair bound dog to Petco in Royersford, PA to be groomed for a number of years. Two weeks ago an appointment was made for grooming but 20 minutes before the appointment time on the day of the appointment, I received a call stating "Due to a change in Corporate policy we no longer groom disabled dogs". Turns out there wasn't a change in corporate policy, each store has the option to not groom disabled dogs and someone at this Petco decided they no longer wanted to. They are also supposed to call a week and a day before the appointment to confirm. The previous staff loved her, embraced her differences, and said she was always a good girl while being groomed. That being said, our family will no longer be shopping at any Petco store, we'll be wheeling into a more compassionate groomer from now on.
